At the End of My Rope

Deck: Mage... surprise!

My powers of Secrets have been my victory once again! I fought against a particularly vicious rogue, who quickly drained my health with powerful minions. I tried to use my Ethereal Arcanists to absorb the secrecy of my Secrets and get a powerful hit on, but through her dangerous weapons and hardy minions, they both fell. My health drained rapidly, through poisoned Wicked Knives and charges from enemies. Eventually, the rogue pulled out an Assassin's Blade, and I knew the chance of my survival was low. I had a mere 6 health remaining, and her blade had enough durability to sustain 12! I managed to clear the battlefield of enemy minions, and her final blow flew toward me----and glanced off as I casted Ice Block, absorbing the damage. I had only moments to act. With luck, I managed to cast another surprise for her, Frost Barrier! This gave me enough armor to wear out her Assassin's Blade, and without any extra minions in reserve or poison, she had to pick away at my armor with her feeble dagger. This gave me enough time to summon Malygos, blasting her with a barrage of 8 Arcane Missiles, bringing her closer to my level. She attempted to assassinate him, but a well-placed Counterspell foiled the action. We both attacked each other again and again, until it came down to a final 2 life each. With an enormous blue dragon and a fairie dragon in front of her, she had no choice but to attack me one more time and accept her fate as my dragon devoured her messily.

The Legendary Battle

Deck: Mage... surprise!!

I was weary from fighting in tournaments, so I took some time off to wander and fight in the wilderness. I came upon a druid who challenged me. I used my usual approach of trying to baffle him with my many Secret attacks, but it soon became clear that this druid was no ordinary fighter. His first troop was Millhouse Manastorm, which I gratefully used to bolster my secrets early on due to his influx of mana. But afterwards came other legends I had only heard of: Pat Nagle, Leeroy Jenkins, Illidan Stormrage, and Cenarius! I fought them off bravely using secrets as well as powerful spells such as Polymorph. In time I gained somewhat of an advantage, but then dragons of all colors began to appear! Alextrasza the Red cut my life in half despite my frost armor; Ysera summoned all manner of creatures from the Emerald Dream; Deathwing swept through the battlefield destroying everything in his path.

Even Nozdormu the Bronze appeared, his sands of time making my reaction time sluggish. All of these I defeated. Despite their enormous power, they did not fight in a coordinated fashion and were all slain. In time, however, I succumbed to my fatigue, and the druid stood victorious.

The Mage Army

Deck: Thebis's Power

This was just a funny battle because everything worked out perfectly. I got just the right secrets to keep the enemy in check, and by the end, as you can see, I had a Violet Teacher to make minions from my spells, then my Gadgetzan Auctioneer would trade the spell in for a new one, and Malygos would empower the spell I cast. Not to mention my two mirror images protecting me. I ended the match with a hand full of cards, and the enemy priest, his hand empty, died with 8 Arcane Missiles to the face. :D

Your Secret is Safe With Me...

Deck: Mage... surprise!!

The hunter was a cunning one. He knew of my skill in using Secrets, and had exploited them to gain more durability for his Eaglehorn Bow. But now it was down to who could survive longer. I had only one Secret left, I was down to my last 3 hit points, and he was down to 9. I sent out Malygos the Spell-Weaver, his magic power surging, but my mana was spent, and it was the hunter's turn to act. "Well played," I said, bracing myself for the blow. "Well played," he agreed and, just to show his skill, summoned an immense Core Hound and a fiesty Buzzard before giving his Ravenholt Assassin the nod to ignore the dragon and finish me off. I heard him sneak up behind me, and just before he could pounce, I unleashed my final Secret: Ice Block! My body incased itself in invulnerable ice, and the assassin, not knowing what to do, retreated. The hunter was stunned, and with that expression on his face I unleashed a devastating Frostbolt, dealing 8 damage. "Sorry," I said, powering up a fireblast. "Never trust those who tell secrets."

Moral: Never underestimate Malygos the Spell-Weaver!

The Questing Party

This is just a funny screenshot. It happened against the computer, so it wasn't legitimate.
Four brothers teamed up and played WoW together to level up their chars. Since they had been well rested, they ding'd every time they killed an enemy. Soon they went on a raid to defeat the priest boss in ... Stormwind?

Harrison's Finest Hour

Deck: Thebis' Power

I had challenged the warlock Nephy in ignorance, imagining that he would be one of those who would spend his own health to the point of killing himself and saving me the trouble. I was right about one part, but there was a twist I had not expected.
We fought brutally, and his life tapping to gain him more summoning and spell power proved difficult to counter. Eventually he had me cornered, my spell book and summoning powers emptied. Though my pet dragon Malygos stood before me, threatening the charging demon army, I had no spells to empower with his magical abilities. The only sidekick I had left was the treasure hunter Harrison Jones, who I had seen little use for because of his better skills against those who carried weapons. In desperation, I prepared to send Harrison in against the sizeable demon army as a fighter. Suddenly, the warlock's summoning backfired, and an immense red-skinned demon materialized, bellowing "YOU FACE JARAXXUS, EREDAR LORD OF THE BURNING LEGION!" and squashing the bewildered warlock under his heel! I cowered before the devil as the demons ignored Malygos and the blood imp I had charmed, heading straight for me. They beat me mercilessly, and Jaraxxus himself even blasted me with his Blood Fury attack. I stood on the ground, coughing blood, my life flashing before my eyes. Suddenly with pride Harrison stepped forward. "That belongs in a museum!" he demanded, and grabbed Jaraxxus's Blood Fury. Due to its durability, the weapon yielded half a score of powerful spells in my hand! I stood up with courage, tapping Malygos' power and raining 8 arcane missiles upon the enemy army.
I think I just peed myself.

"My magic will tear you apart!" I yelled, firing a bolt of frost the size of a small elephant at the devil who towered above the army. It did a shattering 8 damage to him and froze him into a block of ice. I relished the horror and confusion in his eyes as I fired an Ice Lance at the ice block, dealing 9 damage and shattering his frozen body into a thousand pieces. The demon army fled, and victory was mine against all odds, thanks to Harrison Jones!

Elemental Wrath

DECK USED: Puff's Voodoo

As the murloc population seems to be growing exponentially in these parts, I am one of the few left to remain faithful to old ways of Elemental worship. These mana crazed mages do not understand what true control of the elements mean. Before I brought her to her doom, the mage had wisely sent forth her apprentice who would enhance her magical powers. I had several totems and defenders, but foreseeing the danger in this little gnome, I quickly vaporized the pitiful whelp with my fire elemental. The mage retaliated as she obliterated my entire line of defenders, my elemental survived with a mere one health. Thankfully the apprentice wasn't there to ruin my plans.  I was growing weak, and the opponent was still at a intimidating 22 hp. I returned the retaliation as my Windspeaker enraged my elemental, and he was further enhanced with a rock biter. Luckily I summoned my Wrath of Air Totem to increase my lightning bolt to 3 damage, and in total, the tables turned from 22 to 14, to DEAD and 14.

Westfall Adventure

DECK USED: Murlockadin

As I became tired of my normal demonic company, I tried my hand and calling forth a different type of legion, the Rwrlrwlrwlrwl-ing Legion. I have found that priests tend to favor a strategy that involves the overpowering of a single unit: doubling of the health, matching of the attack, etc. and such was the case here. His harvest golem was the size of a small farm house, but as I continued to call forth swarms of murlocs (with the help of my summoning portal) the golem was distracted. As he chased after a murloc oracle, my other murlocs could focus their attack on the golem's master. He was hiding behind a hay stack, but my merlons are quite familiar with Westfall, so they made quick work of the skinny boy. The only regret I have was that I never did feel the wrath of that golem, the only damage I endured during the entire match was a small arrow from a Night Elf scout.

Never Underestimate the Swarm

 DECK USED: Murlocadin

A young, and quite headstrong, priest confronted me earlier this week. He was quite a fighter, and truly weakened me to the close breaking point. He was sly enough to use my Blessing of Wisdom against me, and eventually exhausted my entire deck. As I panted there, the pain of fatigue almost overwhelming me, he stood strong, bringing himself up to almost maximum health. One thing this young priest did not know, is that an battle cannot be won by a hero alone. As he pridefully sent forth his massive units, he didn't pay attention to the ever increasing swarm of murlocs and recruits. In a stroke of divine favor, my last remaining cards were precisely the bane of this priest, and as I held his side at bay, my swarm chiseled him away in to oblivion. Lesson learned, kill the minions DUH.

The Sylvanus Swarm

DECK USED: Ultimate Synergy

So there I was in a heated battle with a paladin. We were neck and neck. He would counter my cards, I would counter his. He also had a strategy of playing his Baby Paladins as often as he could, which were always annoying me. Eventually, I had two Mind Controls in my hand, as well as a Shadow Word: Death and Sylvanus, so I wasn't too worried about who was going to go out on top.

It was his turn, and he played his own Sylvanus. I countered by Mind Controlling her, so he just played Tirion Fordring. I said "Thanks" and hit him with Sylvanus, popping his divine shield and possessing him with Sylvanus's deathrattle. Then I Faceless Manip'd him, holding two Tirion Fordrings on my table, and still had another 5 mana to summon my own Sylvanus.

I don't blame him for conceding after that. :D
